Week 4
April 13-17: Family Week
This week we kicked back and explored new themes through fun activities with family members
Monday, April 13: Science
Students and families had an opportunity to explore the natural world from home. Through interactive activities, we engaged in virtual trips to unique places from the safety of home.
Tuesday, April 14: Computer Science
For Computer Science Day students got to explore an online programming application called Scratch. Students had to go to scratch.mit.edu and make accounts, then learn a little about how to use Scratch before they could make their first projects. Based on the project Snigdha from 601, students were able to add sound and create dynamic Pledge of Allegiance projects. Below are links to: Snigdha from 601
Enjoy.
Wednesday, April 15: Health and Wellness
Thursday, April 16: World Language Day
Students and families explored and made connections to the rich diversity of languages and cultures in New York City. In series of fun activities, students considered the importance of understanding other languages and cultures.
