There are many excellent, free activities online to help students connect to their favorite authors. Try out these events. The list is growing and changing, so be sure to check back often.

TEEN POETRY WITH ZETTA ELLIOTT 4/13

Author Zetta Elliott visited MS 202 last fall and met with several sixth grade classes.
When: Monday, April 13; 4pm-5pm
Teens are invited to join author Zetta Elliott for a poetry workshop. Using examples from her own collection SAY HER NAME, Elliott will share warm-ups and prompts from her writing workbook FIND YOUR VOICE. Participants must register on the Brooklyn Public Library event page and a Zoom link to join the program will be emailed in advance:
